Installation Process

Before installing, please review the requirements and ensure you have Actian Zen/Pervasive PSQL installed.

  1. Make sure the Zen service is running. You can use the Zen Control Center to check that it is running properly. If you can reach the built-in databases in the Zen Control Center, the service is running.
  2. Download the Evo-ERP installer from our website. If you already have an Evo-ERP license, note your customer code that is listed on the website home page after logging in.
  3. Run the installer on your server. Choose a directory to install Evo-ERP. To ensure proper file permissions from workstations to reach the Evo-ERP programs, do not install it to Program Files or Program Files (x86). Make sure the directory where you install Evo-ERP is reachable from each workstation via a UNC path or mapped drive. We do not recommend installing it to the root of a drive, e.g., F:\. Instead, install it to a directory on that drive, e.g., F:\EVOERP.
  4. To run Evo-ERP on the server you will need to follow the steps in workstation setup to configure the server as a workstation.
  5. If you plan to have users access the server via remote desktop and run Evo-ERP directly, you may want to contact support to ensure you configure everything properly.
  6. See installing Evo-ERP license for information on installing either a full or trial license for Evo-ERP.
  7. See workstation setup for information on setting up workstations to run Evo-ERP.
